This project is still alive and well. As you can see from the progress status bars, the majority of the work that remains is in finishing the maps.

Currently, Episode 1 is roughly 75% finished, Episode 2 is finished, and Episode 3 is about halfway. Of the four DM exclusive maps, Piracy is finished, with Castle Dukenstein to be started soon. I am using the word 'finished' loosely here, since technically speaking the maps will never be truly identical, but they are damned close to it, and we are making every effort to ensure they are as identical as possible.

The remainder of the work is a matter of catching and fixing any errors we can find, as well as a few more additions. The explosion model is done, and the Cycloid model is in progress. Sound and graphics have been finished for some time, and the code is nearing the final stages. Playtesting should be coming into focus in the near future.

The mod attempts to replicate the console game's behaviour, although some bugs have been fixed (check the F.A.Q. page for the details).

We added the subtitle "Resurgence" to avoid confusion between the mod and the original game. As some of you may have guessed, the addition of a subtitle is a nod to "Doom 64: Absolution". :)
